PROSPECTS FOR IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF MEDICAL EDUCATION

During the visit of the delegation of the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University (ATSMU), further prospects for cooperation between the two universities in the field of education, science and medicine were discussed.

​In his welcoming speech, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Haidar Tasibekov briefly spoke about the achievements of the university, expressing interest in developing cooperation. "We are glad to be useful and are ready to discuss possible options for partnership and integration," the vice–rector said.

In turn, the rector of the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University – Gulzoda Mahmadshoh Kurbonali, presented information about ATSMU to the participants of the meeting. The Avicenna Tajik State Medical University was founded in 1939 in Dushanbe has five faculties: medical, dental, pharmaceutical, pediatric, preventive medicine.

More than 12 thousand students, 2 thousand citizens of foreign countries from 20 countries study at ATSMU. The training is conducted in three languages: Tajik, Russian and English. The University has graduated more than 49 thousand graduates in various fields of medicine.

Further discussion of further areas of cooperation between Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and TSMU took place. Also during the visit, the delegation visited the laboratories and research institutes of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the scientific achievements of the university were presented to the guests.
