RECTOR OF KAZNU TOOK PART IN THE EXTRAORDINARY XXIV CONGRESS OF AMANAT

Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al–Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev took part in the extraordinary XXIV Congress of the AMANAT Party in Astana.

The event brought together members of the political council, members of Parliament, 700 delegates from the regions, as well as experts, representatives of non-governmental organizations.

According to the agenda, first of all, the issue of nominating a candidate from the party for the upcoming presidential elections was considered. After an exchange of views and voting procedures, by the decision of the extraordinary XXIV Congress, the AMANAT party nominated Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for the post of President of the country.

Later, during the meeting, a new political platform of the party was approved. The ideological document reflects the main directions of development and principles of political unification.

The Chairman of the party Yerlan Koshanov noted that the political platform "AMANAT" adopted today is a long-term and strategic document.

"In general, there is every reason to consider today's congress historic. We have adopted a new political platform of the party. Its main principle is man, society and the state. The principles in it are consistent and consonant with the political reforms of our President. In the future, the party will be guided by them," Yerlan Koshanov said.

Party members, deputies of the Mazhilis and delegates from the regions made reports and expressed their opinion on the new political platform of the party.
