KazNU is recognized as the first university in the rating "QS Asia University Rankings 2023: Central Asia"

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was included in the QS ranking of the Asian region of universities for the first time and took 44th place. KazNU is also recognized as the first university in Central Asia, taking 1st place in the rating "QS Asia University Rankings 2023: Central Asia". In the 2023 edition, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University entered the top 6% in the QS Asia University Rankings.

Published annually since 2009, the QS Asia University Rankings annually highlights the best universities in Asia.

KazNU participates in the QS Asia University Rankings for the first time along with world-renowned universities such as the National University of Singapore, Peking University, Tokyo University, University of Malaya, Korean University and others.

    

The Asian Best Universities Ranking 2023 analyzed the performance of 757 universities. The method retains the key indicators of the global ranking, but also takes into account a set of performance indicators carefully selected for the region.

The 11 indicators used to compile the QS Asia University Rankings are as follows: Academic reputation (30%); Employer reputation (20%); Teacher-to-student ratio (10%); International Research Network (10%); Citations per article (10%) and articles by teachers (5%); Staff with doctoral degrees (5%); The share of foreign teachers (2.5%) and the share of foreign students (2.5%); The share of incoming exchange students (2.5%) and the share of outgoing exchange students (2.5%).

All these indicators objectively and fully characterize the activities of the best universities.
