THE RECTOR OF KAZNU MET WITH THE FOUNDER OF InDRIVER ARSEN TOMSKY

Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with the founder of InDriver Arsen Tomsky. During the meeting, the parties discussed ways of cooperation and a number of issues.


The honorary guest was warmly welcomed by the head of the university. In his speech, Zhanseit Tuimebayev reported on the achievements of KazNU and future plans. He also spoke in detail about the innovative projects developed at the university.

 

"The university's activities are based on scientific achievements and innovations. Last year KazNU rose to the 150th place in the international QS ranking among the best universities in the world. Moreover, among Asian countries, the educational institution ranks 44th. Our university successfully continues its scientific and educational activities. It demonstrates intellectual potential not only on a national scale, but also at the international level. Our scientists contribute to the development of national science. The institution has already developed more than 100 innovative projects. KazNU also successfully operates certification centers, institutes and Academies of high-tech companies: Samsung, Hewlett-Packard, Cisco, Minolta, Fujitsu, Alcatel, Microsoft, Kaspersky Lab, Huawei, etc. In order to develop science, KazNU hosts a large number of international scientific conferences, meetings, exhibitions. Thus, an exhibition of innovative achievements of Kazakhstani universities and research institutes was recently held. Along with the successful scientific developments of university scientists, student startups were presented at the exhibition," Zhanseit Tuimebayev stated.

 

In turn, the CEO of InDriver, Arsen Tomsky thanked the head of the university for the warm welcome and highly appreciated the achievements of KazNU. Also in his speech, the entrepreneur spoke about the prospects for the development of InDriver, which was one of the most popular mobile applications in the field of transport activities in Kazakhstan. Arsen Tomsky shared plans for the implementation of a number of non-profit projects aimed at supporting young people.

 

After the meeting, the guest of honor visited the museum of KazNU and the academic buildings in which major repairs were carried out. Then he specially visited the Center for Remote Sensing of the Earth of the University, where he got acquainted with scientific projects.

In conclusion, the parties agreed on further partnership and joint implementation of large-scale projects.
