AMAL HOLIDAY IS CELEBRATED AT KAZNU

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a festive event dedicated to March 14 Koris kuni, the Amal holiday, during which students were treated to pilaf and nauryz-kozhe.

The event was organized on the basis of the concept of the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who instructed to celebrate Nauryz in a new way, increasing its significance.

"On the old tradition, passing the winter, the people visited other people and were interested in business and health and relationships. This day symbolizes grace and friendly relations. The 10-day program, represented by the Ministry of culture and sports, begins with the day of sightings and continues with the festive events: "Zhailau day", "Genealogy day", "tarikh tagzym day", "day of Good Deeds", "Day of Craft and Skill", "Intellectual Day", "Day of National Cuisine", "Ulus Uly day", "ritual day".

The main purpose of the Nauryz is to strengthen peace and friendship, preserve national identity. I am sure that the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University will promote the popularization of memorable dates in the minds of young people. Let the beginning of the year be a harbinger of good and everything new! Let's gather together only on good occassions!" the head of the university Zhanseit Tuimebayev wished.
