RECTOR OF KAZNU TOOK PART IN A MEETING DEDICATED TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF NATIONAL SCIENCE

Chairman of the Board – Rector of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev took part in a meeting at which issues of the development of local science were discussed.

The event held at the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan was attended by Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balayeva, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek, President of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kunsulu Zakaria, members of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, heads of universities and scientific organizations.

During the meeting issues of further development of Kazakhstan's science were discussed within the framework of the latest instructions of the Head of State given at the first meeting of the National Council for Science and Technology.

Aida Balayeva noted the following: "The Ministry has started corresponding work in many areas. For the successful implementation of the plans, the active participation of our entire scientific community is necessary."

It was also noted that over the past three years, the financing of science has increased by three times and attracted more than 6.9 billion KZT in the form of private co-financing. And as a result of commercialization projects, revenues from the sale of innovative products amounted to 22.6 billion KZT.

The participants shared their proposals for the development of domestic science and exchanged views.
