LEGENDS AMONG US

On the eve of Defender of the Fatherland Day and the 78th anniversary of the Victory Day, a lesson of courage titled "Legends Among Us" was held with students at the military department of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The lesson was attended by retired colonel Kazbek Vladimirovich Mamsurov, a member of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan and the Secretary of the Veterans Council of the Armed Forces of Almaty.

During the event, colonel Mamsurov spoke about the activities of the Assembly in strengthening the national unity of our country. The distinguished veteran provided vivid examples from the history of the construction of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan and shared his invaluable experience in the methodology of organizing and conducting educational and ideological work in the military environment. It should be noted that Kazbek Vladimirovich's family is an example of a true military dynasty, they had raised three generals who took part in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. A fascinating presentation of the movie about one of them was shown to the participants of the Courage Lesson - Haji-Umar Dzhiorovich Mamsurov, who was a participant in the Spanish Civil War, the Soviet-Finnish War, the Great Patriotic War, a Hero of the Soviet Union, and the first deputy chief of the Main intelligence directorate of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

After the Courage Lesson, future military ideologists, lawyers, and military psychologists met with the distinguished veteran at the Museum of the Military Department and auditorium named after the First Minister of Defense of the Kazakhstan and Hero of the Soviet Union, Sagadat Kozhakhmetovich Nurmagambetov.

At the conclusion of the event, the head of the military department of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, retired colonel O.V.Ajimov, on behalf of the team and students, congratulated retired colonel Mamsurov on the upcoming holidays of Defender of the Fatherland Day and Victory Day and thanked Kazbek Vladimirovich for his productive cooperation in the military patriotic education of the youth.
