Al-Farabi Kazakh National University was visited by the Director of the Office of International Cooperation of the Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU), Mr. Zhang Fuli.
During the meeting Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev expressed gratitude to the distinguished guest for the visit and noted that KazNU has long-standing fruitful relations with Chinese universities.
The Rector informed the representatives of the NPU about the directions and achievements of the work of KazNU in the scientific and educational field and partnerships with foreign universities. KazNU today closely cooperates with many leading universities in China. Among them are the following universities: Lanzhou, Xinjiang, Shanghai and Beijing educational institutions. According to QS ranking, KazNU is among the top-150 best universities in the world and is recognized as the first university in Central Asia in the "QS Asia University Rankings" 2023. The university has the Confucius Institute, the Faculty of Oriental Studies and the Department of Chinese Studies.
In turn, the Director of the Office of International Cooperation of the Northwestern Polytechnical University, Mr. Zhang Fuli, thanked the leadership of KazNU for the warm welcome and told about the structure and activities of the multidisciplinary state university, which was founded in 1938. The university specializes in aviation, aerospace and engineering.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views and discussed issues on the further development of mutually beneficial cooperation.
In conclusion, Mr. Zhang Fuli expressed readiness to cooperate with the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with the prospect of signing a memorandum.
