Upon completion of this program, it is expected that undergraduates will be able to:
1. To understand the laws of social and humanitarian development of modern society;
2. To assess the current state, problems and prospects for the development of geographical science;
3. Understand the history of development, structure, origin and modern dynamics of the relief of the earth’s surface;
4. Apply modern methods of geography to solve the problems of rational use of natural resources and sustainable development;
5. To use modern innovative methods of processing geographical information using GIS technologies;
6. Conduct geographical research using statistical, mathematical, cartographic research methods;
7. Analyze the patterns of formation of spatial structures of the economy and the population;
8. To assess the development of natural and economic and territorial, socio-economic systems of different levels, the interaction of the environment and the population;
9. Create thematic maps of the regions of Kazakhstan using GIS technologies and the collected geodata database;
