During the study of course, students should be competent in: 1. conduct research and analysis of necessary information, technical data, indicators, and results of work, its generalization, and systematization, to carry out the necessary calculations using modern technical means; 2. conduct experiments by using the specified methods with the processing and analysis of results, to make descriptions of the research conducted and to prepare data for the compilation of scientific reviews and publications. 3. use scientific and technical information, domestic and foreign experience in the field of thermal power engineering; 4. draw up work schedules, orders, ways, instructions, explanatory notes, schemes and other technical documentation, as well as established reporting on approved forms at specified times. During the study of the discipline students will learn following aspects: Consolidating theoretical knowledge, applying them to solving specific problems of energy supply, collecting baseline data for a thesis (project), researching ways and possibilities to improve the objects under study, rationalizing their schemes, parameters and operating modes of equipment; analysis of the information collected, design and preparation of a report on the results of the work performed.

The following will be implemented in internship: the collection and synthesis of materials for the thesis; analysis of the provided services quality, pricing/assortment policy, personnel management system; an economic analysis of the study object for a certain period, the results of the analysis of the enterprise�s activities and the development of proposals for its improvement will be summarized.
