MODEL OF GRADUATING STUDENT

Upon completion of this program, doctoral students are expected to be able to:
NO 1. To contribute to the theoretical aspects of complex processing of hydrocarbon raw materials and demonstrate the ability to create technological processes for processing of oil and petroleum raw materials and advanced processing of raw materials with the involvement of waste in secondary processing.
NO 2. To possess the basics of modern technologies of deep processing of hydrocarbons of oil, gas and coal, to use the appropriate hardware and technological equipment.
NO 3. To demonstrate a reasoned scientific discussion using the evidence base obtained as a result of theoretical and experimental training with the involvement of literary and patent sources of well-known researchers in the field of oil refining.

  • Description - The purpose of the discipline is to form the ability of doctoral students to express their conclusions based on the results of scientific research, arguments and hypotheses in the style of academic writing. The training course forms the methodological basis for presenting the results of scientific research in the open press, participating in a competition for scientific projects and communicating with scientists from other countries. As a result of mastering the course, the doctoral student will be able to: write scientific articles for publication in international scientific journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science databases; critically analyze scientific papers, indicating their advantages and disadvantages; prepare a dissertation work, clearly formulating a conclusion based on an analysis of the literature in the relevant field of chemical science and their own results.

Chemistry and technology of thin production of additives for lubricants and special products

  • Description - Forming skills to evaluate the provisions of chemistry, technology of additive manufacturing for specialty products. Forming ability to analyze theories, practices in the field of chemistry. Main focus: technology, basics of controlling the processes of obtaining additives with specified properties, influence of technological parameters on the selectivity, properties of additives.

Industrial Catalysis in Oil Refining

  • Description - Forming skills to substantiate theoretical aspects of catalysis, mastering modern methods of preparation, selection, research catalysts. Forming to compare technological methods by which it is possible to control the chemical, phase composition, substructure, texture, morphology of catalysts. Main focus: methods of research of properties industrial catalysts, mechanisms of catalytic reactions.

The training course encourages doctoral students to actively participate in scientific innovation and commercialization of scientific results.

Non-waste refining technologies of oil and petroleum feedstock

  • Description - Forming skills to assess the state, directions, prospects of development, improvement of waste-free technologies of oil feedstock processing. The course forms an understanding of waste-free oil refining technologies. The discipline is aimed at studying: basic theoretical laws, physical, chemical bases of waste-free technologies; optimal schemes of waste-free technologies.

Physico-Chemical Basis Research of Catalysts and Catalytic Processes

  • Description - Forming skills to analyze modern ideas of the world science about methods used for physicochemical studies of catalytic processes.
