The discipline "Historical science and modern theories" is aimed at strengthening the theoretical and methodological knowledge of doctoral students, for their further application in research work. As a result of studying the discipline, the doctoral candidate will be able to: 1.To imagine and understand the main trends in the development of the theory of historical science at the end of the 20th and the beginning of the 21st century in the light of modern interdisciplinary research 2. To determine the main theoretical approaches in modern historiography which distinguished under the influence of structuralist and poststructuralist theories. 3. Use the basic techniques, tools and principles of independent critical thinking for writing scientific and informational-analytical works, 4. See ways to apply specific theories in their research practice; 5..To systematize the getting knowledge , interpret and analyze the knowledge and skills acquired in the course of studying the course in order to form new competencies for further personal and professional growth. Kazakh mentality in the context of historical psychology

  • Description - The purpose of the discipline is to form the doctoral students' ability to use theoretical knowledge in the Kazakh mentality, new methodologies of interdisciplinary research within the framework of foreign and domestic historiography, and the knowledge of modern ideas and scientific ideas about psychohistory, the ethnic component in the cartography of individual consciousness. As a result of studying the discipline, the doctoral student must: 1. to comprehend and interpret modern ideas and scientific ideas regarding psychohistory, the ethnic component in the cartography of individual consciousness; 2. Own the research procedures and methods of historical psychology and cultural anthropology; 3. Ability to reconstruct the historical memory and spiritual code of the nation through national sources; 4. develop the heuristic approach when revealing the features of the spiritual-mental component of Russian history; 5. to perform comparative-comparative analysis of models of collective mentality of different epochs, develop value-semantic competence in the aspect of familiarizing with the cultural code of the nation and collective memory; When studying the discipline, the doctoral students of the specialty will receive knowledge on the following issues: In the content of the course issues related to the reconstruction of the traditional mentality of Qazaq nomads in the context of general historical psychology are examined. It is based on years of experience of the author in the study of spiritual culture and religious beliefs of the Qazaq people. Mentality problems regard such aspects as psychogenetically basis of personality, values, sacred and profane standards and norms of behavior, people's faith and art, the idea of time and space, the attitude towards life and death, society and history, etc. As a major source Qazaq folklore, epic and historical legends, genealogy, hagiology, ethnographic sources, samples of music are used.

Demonstrate knowledge of the basic theoretical and methodological theories that explain the general patterns of the transition from antiquity to the Middle Ages; 2. To generalize the features of the transition to new social order in different regions of Europe and Eurasia in the V-VIII centuries. in the context of the civilizational approach; 3.use in cognitive and professional activities theoretical and methodological knowledge of those profound changes in the economic, socio-political and cultural spheres in different regions of Europe and Eurasia in the transition to a new civilization of the Middle Ages; 4. The training course is aimed at studying the linear, wave and sp-like form of the dynamics of history, the problem of variability and alternativeness of cyclic models. As a result of studying the discipline, the doctoral candidate will be able to: 1.
