MODEL OF GRADUATING STUDENT

LO 1 Demonstrate in-depth knowledge in the history of methodology and modern literary studies and apply it in research work.
LO 2 Analyze theoretical and methodological principles, metalanguage and meta-vocabulary of modern foreign philology, philological directions, conceptions, scientific schools of philology
LO 3 Apply the skills of organizing and conducting linguistic/literary studies in practice, abstracting and creating an academic paper, annotating scientific articles, projects and dissertations.
LO 4 Demonstrate a systematic understanding in the field of language/ literature teaching in higher education institutions, taking into account cultural differences, methods and strategies for teaching a foreign language and literature in a multicultural environment in the context of internationalization of education.
LO 5 Create a scientific work in the field of foreign philology using modern computer technologies, lexicographic sources, skills in organizing and conducting linguistic/literary studies in practice, as well as assess and determine its significance.
LO 6 Сarry out professional activities related to the use of philological knowledge in educational, cultural, administrative, in the field of intercultural communication and other areas of the socio-humanitarian sphere.
LO 7 Implement comparative analysis of works, independent research created in dissimilar language cultures at different levels of the text.
LO 8 Communicate on the subject matter of their area of expertise with the broader scientific community and society.

The following will be studied: the basic concepts and types of academic writing, paraphrasing and citing in academic writing, discursive essays, report structure, articles and abstracts.

Will be studied: fundamental laws of the interaction of language and thinking, language and society, language and culture, basic methods of philology and general scientific paradigms, generalized and critically interpreted actual and theoretical knowledge, scientific ideas and concepts.
