MODEL OF GRADUATING STUDENT

Upon completion of this program, it is expected that PhD students will be able to:
1 conduct a critical analysis, evaluation and synthesis of new and complex ideas, development problems, approaches, trends of the modern world economy;
2. critically evaluate the results of scientific research, modern theories, problems and approaches, new trends in the study of the concept of a new world economic order;
3. conduct a critical analysis, assessment, problems, trends of the world economy in the context of the development of integration, globalization, transnationalization processes;
4. generate new and complex ideas, propose new hypotheses and solutions for the further modernization of the crisis-resistant global financial architecture;
5. systematize, interpret and apply the methods of scientific knowledge, scientific theories and concepts of modern directions of macroeconomics in research activities;
6. build a research process on the topic of the thesis and present the scientific results in the appropriate language for discussion by the scientific community at the international level;
7. organize, conduct and implement research, professional and management activities;
8. evaluate the validity of the methods used in scientific research in the field of the global economy and to determine the significance of a particular product in scientific activities;
9. formulate scientific goals, objectives, methodology and determine the stages of independent scientific research;
10. carry out an empirical analysis using modern information technologies and correctly interpret and analyze the results obtained;
11. integrate interdisciplinary knowledge in the research process on the problems of the world economy with the aim of describing and analyzing modern research approaches;
12. be ready for correct and tolerant cooperation in research activities to solve the problems of science in a complex and diverse intercultural scientific environment

It examines macroeconomic indicators, features of the sectoral structure of the economy, and problems of domestic and foreign economic policy of developed countries.

It examines macroeconomic indicators, the sectoral structure of the economy, indicators of income, inflation, unemployment, and features of national and foreign economic policies of developing countries.

  • Description - The aim of the course "Modern problems of world economy" is the training of doctoral students in the study of modern problems of the world economy not to lose sight of the impact of global problems on decision-making at both national and supra-national (in foreign policy) levels. As a result of studying discipline doctoral candidate must have the following competencies: - ability to identify basic properties of the modern world social and economic systems and processes that affect its development; - to identify the essence of globalization as an objective process and its impact on economic development; - to understand and identify the impact of global problems on national economic development; - know the current trends, characteristics, problems of development of the world economy; - have a deeply systemic view of the global problems of the world economy and to seek solutions. In the modern world, no country can escape the impact of global problems on its socio-economic development, accordingly, they should be taken into account in the decision-making at all levels. Objectives of the course is to analyze current trends, problems and peculiarities of development of the international economy and finding solutions to the major problems of the world economy in the new complex geopolitical situation.

  • Description - The main purpose of "PhD thesis writing and defence": of a doctoral dissertation is the formation of the doctoral students' ability to disclose the content of research work for the defense of the thesis. During the study of course, doctoral student's should be competent in: 1. to substantiate the content of new scientifically grounded theoretical and experimental results that allow to solve a theoretical or applied problem or are a major achievement in the development of specific scientific directions; 2. explain the assessment of the completeness of the solutions to the tasks assigned, according to the specifics of the professional sphere of activity; 3. they can analyze alternative solutions for solving research and practical problems and assess the prospects for implementing these options; 4. apply the skills of writing scientific texts and presenting them in the form of scientific publications and presentations. 5. to plan and structure the scientific search, clearly highlight the research problem, develop a plan / program and methods for its study, formalize, in accordance with the requirements of the State Educational Establishment, the scientific and qualification work in the form of a thesis for a scientific degree Doctor of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) on specialty «8D07502 – Standardization and certification (by industry)».   • Description - The course purpose – training of the analyst having fundamental scientific knowledge of features and problems of development of economy, formation of economic policy of industrially developed countries of the world. As a result of studying of discipline the doctoral candidate has to own the following competences: - to know macroeconomic indicators and features of branch structure of economy of industrialized countries; - to know problems and features of domestic and external economic policy of developed countries; - to understand and estimate economic and political distinctions between industrially developed countries; - to be able to do comparative and SWOT analysis of economy of developed countries; - to use the gained knowledge in research activity. The discipline gives knowledge of macroeconomic indicators, branch structure of economy, level of the income and expenses, inflation, unemployment, of national and external economic policy of developed countries, the place and a role of these countries in modern world economy. The discipline includes the comparative analysis of economic development of the industrial countries with use of various scientific methods of knowledge, including statistical, economic-mathematical, etc.

  • Description - The purpose of discipline is to form knowledge about the patterns and mechanism of sustainable integration of neighbouring States, leading to their gradual economic merger, based on the conduct of these countries in a coordinated interstate economic policy. As a result of studying discipline doctoral candidate should posses the following competencies: - to know the composition of the developing world, criteria of their classification and specifics of economic development, place and role in the world economy; - to know the macroeconomic indicators and especially the sectoral structure of the economies of developing countries; - know the basic problems of socio-economic development of developing countries; - to understand the peculiarities of development of newly industrialized countries and the countries-exporters; - to be able to do comparative and SWOT analysis of the economy of developing countries; - to predict the prospects of developing countries. The discipline allows to understand specifics of economic development of developing states of the world in general, features of development of the largest countries, petroleum exporting countries, new industrial countries and the poorest countries of the world. It is aware macroeconomic indicators, branch structure of economy, indicators of level of the income, inflations, unemployment, features of national and external economic policy of developing states are studied. The important place in this discipline is taken also by questions of manifestation in these countries of global problems of mankind.
