  • Description - The goal of studying this discipline is to develop doctoral students’ knowledge of the fundamental principles of information theory and their application to digital communication systems, skills and abilities to conduct research on advanced technologies in the field of digital communications. The following topics are covered during the training process: quantitative assessment of information, mutual information, message redundancy, the relationship between entropy and information, information protection, etc.

  • Description - The course focuses on the development of principles, methods of new media for communication systems based on the use of digital communication. During the training, the following issues are considered: nonlinear signal processing methods; nonlinear systems; system models; numerical solution; system rescaling; Kramer rate; conditions for stochastic resonance; transient noise pulses; hidden Markov models; Wiener-Kolmogorov filters; multiple input and multiple output systems (MIMO); independent components analysis; adaptive filters: Kalman, RLS, LMS.

During the study of the discipline, the following topics will be considered: technologies and standards of wireless sensor networks, routing protocols of mobile sensor networks, equipment of mobile sensor networks, vulnerabilities of wireless sensor networks, technologies for protecting sensor networks, etc.

Smart Antennas for Wireless Systems
