MODEL OF GRADUATING STUDENT
ON1 To demonstrate extensive and deep knowledge in the field of translation studies for solving practical problems in interpretation and translation.
ON2 To distinguish the type of information laid down in the source text and its communicative role for the implementation of pre-translational analysis of texts.
ON3 To compile adequate and full translations of scientific, artistic, technical, journalistic, official business and economic texts based on the methodology of translation studies.
ON4 To demonstrate in situations of official and unofficial communication a high command of a foreign language in all types of speech activity (speaking, listening, reading, writing).
ON5 To apply lexical and grammatical transformations and translation techniques in the translation of scientific, artistic, socio-political, economic texts of varying degrees of complexity.
ON6 To make equivalent and adequate translation identifying various types of lexical, stylistic, factual errors in the text.
ON7 To use translation recording techniques to streamline the interpretation process and increase its adequacy.
ON8 To carry out consistent and simultaneous translations and ensure mutual understanding between people of different cultures at conferences, negotiations, business meetings, presentations and other events.
