QUALIFICATION
- Scientific and pedagogical direction - Master of Engineering Sciences
MODEL OF GRADUATING STUDENT
1. to use modern scientific knowledge of cartographic modeling of spatial systems of various territorial ranks and classifications in the educational practice of higher education, to build integrative directions in the theory and methodology of modern cartography;
2. use Earth remote sensing data, purposefully select the necessary knowledge system and interdisciplinary methods of cartographic modeling when planning scientific and applied research and educational process;
3. apply information technologies to solve cartography problems, analyze and forecast the development of mapped objects and phenomena, build a methodology for cartographic analysis and design taking into account the general methodology of scientific research
4. to apply the technology of digital modeling of spatial systems in the implementation of interdisciplinary educational and research projects;
5. demonstrate the application of innovative methods and promising trends in modern cartography in the planning of scientific and educational programs and in the selection of types of cartographic modeling of the structure and dynamics of various spatial systems;
6. Carry out factor analysis of changes in the structure and dynamics of spatial systems and build their predictive cartographic models;
7. formulate and substantiate the basics of local, regional, and national cartographic monitoring and classify the methods of their cartographic modeling using various environmental monitoring and control systems;
8. to update and apply digital technologies when updating the geodetic, toponymic and substantive basis of topographic maps in the adopted scale series system;
9. demonstrate the development of new ideas and technological techniques of spatial cartographic modeling and applied aspects of their effective use and predict natural and man-made risks and their consequences for society and for geographical systems;
10. formulate the basics of regional and national cartographic environmental monitoring and ways to implement monitoring systems to control the ecological state of geosystems;
11. design thematic and large-scale series of forecast maps for economic planning and management decision-making and present research results in a professional environment;
12. demonstrate readiness for independent research work in the field of cartographic design and forecasting based on modern digital programs, critically evaluate the results and conclusions of research and scientific production work.
