MODEL OF GRADUATING STUDENT
Upon completion of this program, it is expected that students will be able to:
1. analyze the main stages of recent history of the progressive development of Kazakhstan's statehood in the context of the world and Eurasian historical process; interpret and creatively use scientific, historical and philosophical knowledge to summarize the success factors of the Kazakhstan development model.
2. competently use linguistic and linguocultural knowledge to solve communication problems in multilingual and multicultural society, the ability to logically correctly, reasonably and clearly construct oral and written speech in Kazakh (Russian), prepare and edit professional texts, lead discussions and participate in polemics.
3. freely express their thoughts, adequately using a variety of language means in order to highlight relevant information; observe the ethics and rules of conduct of the translator;
4. use information and communication technologies in professional activities, search for information necessary for effective performance of professional tasks;
5. operate with a system of linguistic knowledge, which includes knowledge of the main phonetic, lexical, grammatical, word-formation phenomena and patterns of the studied Oriental language;
6. analyze knowledge in the field of geography, history, literature, political, economic, social and cultural life of the country of the target language, as well as knowledge of the role of studied country in regional and global political processes.
7. рroduce speech in an oriental language, taking into account their phonetic organization, preservation of tempo, norms, usage and style of the language, perceive by ear authentic speech in a natural pace for native speakers, regardless of the pronunciation and channel of speech (from a live voice to audio and videotapes).
8. perform interpretation / translation, while maintaining the necessary level of equivalence, taking into account the stylistic and temporal characteristics of the source text. Apply basic translation techniques, use etiquette formulas in oral and written communication;
9. perform pre-translational analysis and post-translation self-editing of written / oral text; abstract and annotate written texts.
10. carry out a comparative analysis of the values and perceptions inherent in the culture of the country of the studied Eastern language, to identify the main differences of conceptual and linguistic pictures of the world of speakers of the native and studied languages;
11. analyze the translation, the specifics of certain types and types of translation, a set of translation strategies, methods and techniques in various types of translation and interpretation;
12. show tolerance and respect for various cultural and religious traditions and socio-ethical values based on social and legal norms; identify the main patterns of functioning and development of society.
