MODEL OF GRADUATING STUDENT

Upon completion of this educational program, it is expected that doctoral students will be able to:
1. Develop a technological methodology of museology providing processing in the process of museum documentation and museum communication, focused on practical activities in the museum; to carry out a study of conceptual models of the functions of the museum through the concepts: research and educational institution, communication system, cultural form.
2. Develop priorities and principles of museum policy to create a concept for the development of museum institutions and individual areas of museum activity based on a communication approach and new trends in museum exhibiting;
3. Organize and plan areas of research based on the objectives, goals, profile of the museum institution;
Apply scientific criteria and principles in research activities, present scientific research at various conferences, implement interdisciplinary research programs in the context of preserving, studying and promoting the historical and cultural heritage;
4. Develop forms and methods of cultural and educational activities, the scientific concept of recruitment, the criteria for selecting materials in the stock collection in order to document the natural-historical (natural), historical processes in the region; own the methodology of theoretical and experimental research in the field of museology, museum and culture.

5. Create a scientific concept of stock work, giving a systematic view of the museum's activities in accounting, storage, scientific processing, conservation and restoration of museum funds;
6. To form a reasoned expert conclusions (interpretations) on the authenticity, attribution, identification, uniqueness of cultural values;
7. To create marketing models of museums, using the existing experience of working with visitors, allowing fairly reliably determine the interests and needs of potential audiences and justify ways to meet them;
8. Develop a concept of museum management based on macro and world-segmentation strategies. Develop long-term development plans, a system of fundraising for museum and cultural institutions, evaluate financial resources and apply PR technologies;
9. Develop concepts for the digitization of museum objects, historical and cultural monuments and how to present them on virtual platforms: mobile applications, 3D services for displaying models and the virtual space of the museum. apply digital marketing in museum and cultural institutions;
10. Analyze the specifics of the preservation and development of the cultural and natural heritage in historically specific periods, including in the current situation; to present projects on the problems of preserving the historical, cultural and natural heritage;
11. Conduct classes in special disciplines of museology based on a student-centered approach and using digital technology and interactive methods; develop training courses, disciplines (modules) in teaching, conduct certain types of training sessions in higher education programs and additional retraining programs using digital technologies and interactive methods;
12. Organize cooperation and joint activities, interact and work in a team; build and develop competencies in the use of information and communication technologies; solve creative problems, present the results of their activities in various forms (communication, essay, presentation, abstract, etc.); interpret the trends of sociocultural development of cultural institutions and present the results of their research to the general public; integrate the results of their own scientific research into the practical needs of museum institutions and organizations for the protection of monuments.

Methods of Natural Sciences in the Study of Ancient Monuments

  • Description - The purpose of the course is to form the representation and application of natural science research methods in the study of ancient monuments. When studying the discipline, the following learning outcomes are expected: providing basic information on the main areas of natural sciences that are directly related to museology; familiarization with the rules of sampling for various types of natural science analyses; illustration of natural science research methods using specific examples.

  • Description - The main purpose of "PhD thesis writing and defence": of a doctoral dissertation is the formation of the doctoral students' ability to disclose the content of research work for the defense of the thesis. During the study of course, doctoral student's should be competent in: 1. to substantiate the content of new scientifically grounded theoretical and experimental results that allow to solve a theoretical or applied problem or are a major achievement in the development of specific scientific directions; 2. explain the assessment of the completeness of the solutions to the tasks assigned, according to the specifics of the professional sphere of activity; 3. they can analyze alternative solutions for solving research and practical problems and assess the prospects for implementing these options; 4. apply the skills of writing scientific texts and presenting them in the form of scientific publications and presentations. 5. to plan and structure the scientific search, clearly highlight the research problem, develop a plan / program and methods for its study, formalize, in accordance with the requirements of the State Educational Establishment, the scientific and qualification work in the form of a thesis for a scientific degree Doctor of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) on specialty «8D07502 – Standardization and certification (by industry)».   • Description - The purpose of the discipline is to form an idea among doctoral students about the principles, methods and features of museification, preservation and use of objects of intangible cultural heritage. As a result of the discipline, doctoral students will get acquainted with UNESCO's activities in the field of preservation of intangible cultural heritage, features and mechanisms of preservation of traditional culture; scientific foundations of museification of intangible heritage; principles of its classification, as well as methods of actualization.
