  • Description - The goal of the discipline is to form a system of knowledge about the content specificity of intonation and prosody in the speech stream and its communicative function. The course is aimed at studying intonation and prosody based on knowledge about intonation units, their features and internal patterns, systems of theoretical knowledge about their functions based on scientific data, intonation components (melody, rhythm, duration and tempo, dynamics) to distinguish between different semantic shades, features and changes in the flow of words, practice on its implementation during the analysis of intonation components, the main functions of intonation, etc.
