MODEL OF GRADUATING STUDENT

Upon completion of this program, it is expected that doctoral students
will be able to:
ON1 - to develop working curricula, Educational and methodical complex of disciplines in supervised disciplines and other educational and methodical materials, to supervise theses, research work of students and undergraduates;
- improve practical experience, professional qualifications, pedagogical skills;
- to teach economic disciplines on the basis of a student-centered approach, effectively using information, communication and interactive technologies in order to establish a new culture of pedagogical thinking.
ON2 - identify and formulate relevant scientific problems, develop a program of research and development;
- to search, collect, process, analyze and systematize information on the research topic;
- acquire practical research skills;
- substantiate and set out the main provisions of the research topic in publications in domestic and foreign publications, international conferences and seminars.
ON3 - to interpret general scientific and special methods in the study of phenomena and laws of the economic sphere;
- to carry out research of the phenomena, regularities of economy as a whole, financial and economic activity of the enterprises, firms, research organizations, using General scientific and special methods;
- perform economic research, demonstrating the ability to generalize, analyze, perceive information, setting goals and choosing ways to achieve it.
ON4 - to classify modern methods and approaches of macroeconomic research;
- to justify the use of mathematical models for the forecast of the dynamics of Kazakhstan's economy (growth rates, GDP, inflation, unemployment, exchange rate, etc.), the international economy;
- identify the causes of crisis phenomena at the level of the national economy, on a global scale;
- develop models, criteria, indicators for assessing the quality of human capital;
- identify priorities and prospects for the development of training of qualified personnel in the context of globalization in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
ON5 - to explain the reasons for the stable dynamic equilibrium model of economic growth;
- classify and apply economic growth models;
- substantiate the role and importance of public policy to maintain the dynamic balance of the national economy as a whole and its important sectors;
- to analyze and evaluate the methods of classification of industries and industries by the level of science intensity used in the world practice;
- evaluate and apply modern concepts of innovation development and economic growth models.
ON6 - to substantiate the factors of long-term economic growth in various dimensions: economic, environmental, demographic, political, social;
- explain the impact of factors that have recently come into the focus of researchers: culture, income and wealth inequality, armed conflict, ethnic heterogeneity, the quality of the state;
- to demonstrate the knowledge of methodological, theoretical foundations of the theory of sustainable development of countries with different political economic structure.
ON7 - analyze the effectiveness of the current state of enterprises, industries and complexes of the country with the use of modern methods of analysis, processing and transmission of information in the field of statistics and econometric modeling;
- to apply statistical and econometric methods of analysis for the development and preparation required in professional activities policies, development plans, improvement of management, explanation of the relationship of economic phenomena.
ON8 - explain the formulation and formulation of approaches to solving the problem of risk assessment in the management of business structures;
- to substantiate the methodology of business processes development in industry, enterprises, financial institutions, taking into account financial, investment, currency and other risks;
- to analyze the domestic and foreign experience of risk management of economic entities in their own research.
ON9 - demonstrate skills in organizing and presenting statistics;
- to classify the modern methods of the restoration of dependencies;
- to substantiate the importance of models and methods of statistical data processing for use in their economic research in a priori statistical uncertainty inherent in real statistical experiments;
- to analyze statistical hypotheses for use in their own economic research.
ON10 - to substantiate the factors of economic growth and the role of the state in its provision;
- classify the main stages, types and models of economic growth;
- analyze and evaluate the modernization of specific countries and regions;
- to analyze the features and problems of Kazakhstan's economy (industry, agriculture, financial sector, etc.) and to justify the prospects of economic growth in Kazakhstan, increasing their export potential, predicting the situation of the world market.
ON11 - to demonstrate knowledge of the history, features and forecasts of researchers to prove their competence in a specialized field of Economics;
- operate with a large amount of information collected from various sources;
- to substantiate and develop a qualified expert opinion on various aspects of economic activity, using modern research methods;
- summarize the results of the examination in protocols and other documents.
ON12 - to communicate in the creative team, to have a systematic thinking, the ability to train, self-development, making non-standard decisions in a particular situation;
- to cooperate within interdisciplinary teams (ability to communicate with specialists from other fields);

PhD thesis writing and defence

  • Description - The main purpose of "PhD thesis writing and defence": of a doctoral dissertation is the formation of the doctoral students' ability to disclose the content of research work for the defense of the thesis. During the study of course, doctoral student's should be competent in: 1. to substantiate the content of new scientifically grounded theoretical and experimental results that allow to solve a theoretical or applied problem or are a major achievement in the development of specific scientific directions; 2. explain the assessment of the completeness of the solutions to the tasks assigned, according to the specifics of the professional sphere of activity; 3. they can analyze alternative solutions for solving research and practical problems and assess the prospects for implementing these options; 4. apply the skills of writing scientific texts and presenting them in the form of scientific publications and presentations. 5. to plan and structure the scientific search, clearly highlight the research problem, develop a plan / program and methods for its study, formalize, in accordance with the requirements of the State Educational Establishment, the scientific and qualification work in the form of a thesis for a scientific degree Doctor of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) on specialty «8D07502 – Standardization and certification (by industry)». Learning outcomes are abilities: - own research methods and tools for the analysis of regions, spaces and territories, apply the methodology of cluster analysis; - to develop models of spatial analysis taking into account specific research tasks and types of regions; - to develop the principles of formation of regional policy of sustainable development, - to formulate priorities and develop mechanisms for the implementation of regional sustainable development policy.
