QUALIFICATION
- Scientific and pedagogical direction - Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)
MODEL OF GRADUATING STUDENT
1. Demonstrate a systematic understanding of the methods of study, information support for research in the field of cartography, geoinformatics;
2. Demonstrate the ability to conceive, plan, implement and apply the cartography research process with scientific certainty;
3. Create, develop, implement a comprehensive process of scientific research and trends in the development of special activities for the production of scientific knowledge in the field of cartographic research, in a historically changing socio-cultural context;
4. Demonstrate knowledge of information sources and understanding of the modern scientific paradigm in the field of cartography and the dynamics of its development, the system of methodological principles and methodological techniques of cartographic research and analysis.
5. Create a project based on the technical specifications in the field of cartography in accordance with the regulatory and technical documentation. To carry out scientific and technical expertise of new methods of cartographic work and technical documentation;
6. Adapt topographic, geodetic and cartographic materials using GIS technologies to study the natural resource potential of the country, individual regions and regions for the purpose of rational nature management;
7. Analyze and systematize the global features of designing thematic maps using navigation systems; formulate the features of designing and compiling thematic maps for the regional level.
8. Develop a monitoring program for environmental control based on topographic and geodetic, cartographic materials, remote sensing and GIS technologies;
9. Present an analysis strategy, to argue for a system of indicators for the development and implementation of an organization's strategy aimed at ensuring competitiveness in the specialty. Participate in the development and implementation of resource-saving programs at enterprises.
10. The ability to independently acquire knowledge through information technology and the use of new knowledge and skills in practice, including in new areas of social and public spheres;
11. The ability to independently learn new research methods, change the research and scientific production profile of their professional activities.
12. Тhe ability to interact with colleagues, the wider scientific community and society as a whole, and contribute – in scientific and professional contexts – to technological, social and cultural progress.
