QUALIFICATION

MODEL OF GRADUATING STUDENT

ON1to represent the mechanisms and factors of development of modern regions in trans local and global relationships, and integration and disintegration processes in the modern world from the perspective of research methodology within the framework of modern paradigms.
ON2 to implement expert assessments of regional development models, regional aspects of contemporary international relations and regional problems, development trends of global and regional processes through the prism of theories of international relations;
ON3 to simulate macro-regional, regional political, economic, integrative, innovative, socio-cultural processes, to formulate scientific predictions based on the application of theoretical and empirical research methods and applied analysis using at least 2 foreign languages;
ON4 to integrate knowledge of scientific theories, schools and directions into research and scientific and pedagogical practice of political, regional, and international analysis of society.
ON5 to expand the research methodology of regional studies and analysis international and regional problems based on the scientific approaches of critical analysis;

ON6 to consider ethnocultural, ethno-confessional and ethno-psychological parameters in practical and research activities;
ON7 to prepare proposals and recommendations for regional, state, non-governmental, public, commercial and other organizations by evaluating strategic state (republican and regional, city) plans for the development and implementation of relations between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the leading regions of the world in the context of modern integrated international and regional studies
ON8 to conduct scientific research in their respective areas of competence, including in interdisciplinary fields based on advanced data and communication technologies, independently formulate scientific hypotheses and innovative ideas, check their accuracy.
ON9 reasonably state their own scientific point of view, conduct a scientific discussion on how to address international and regional problems in an academic and analytical conditions using materials in foreign languages;
ON10 to identify the origins of traditional and non-traditional threats of national, regional, global security, including the use of multiple sources of information and contemporary tools of its analysis and classification, to demonstrate the contribution of Republic of Kazakhstan to strengthening the regional security system and establishing multilateral cooperation.
ON11 to demonstrate the skills of public speech, effective communication and leadership in professional teams to address development problems internationally and regionally, and to use foreign languages to solve professional issues.
ON12 to demonstrate the results of their own scientific, pedagogical and professional activities and determine the trajectory of further professional and scientific self-improvement

This course contains following questions:parameters and trends of economic, political and social development of regions; security issues (Korean Peninsula, Middle East, Taiwan Strait, India-Pakistan, “global war on terror”); regional integration; identity conflicts on an ethnic, relidious and linguistic basis. This course is based on the concepts and methods of the theory of international relations, comparative political science and regional studies
