MODEL OF GRADUATING STUDENT

1. Possess theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the study of paleosols and modern soil cover, master methods of studying properties and modes using modern devices and GIS technologies for processing, analyzing and summarizing information.
2. Explain the patterns of dispersion, concentration and migration of chemical elements and justify the role of exogenous and endogenous processes in the development of the lithosphere and soil cover.
3. Interpret indicators of optimal fertility parameters using innovative methods of research of physical, hydrological, chemical, physico-chemical, biological and other properties of various types of soils.
4. Conduct the land resources inventory and inventory, environmental expertise and audit of economic activities, using modern research methods and environmental standards, to establish the relationship between the use of soil resources and economic growth and to justify the use of administrative and economic mechanisms for regulating rational land use;
5. Identify the features of the soil cover in the regions of the country, using the patterns of soil formation depending on environmental factors, explain the causes of soil degradation, erosion and desertification associated with natural and anthropogenic impacts, develop the necessary measures for their reclamation and protection, using modern methods of research, interpretation and processing of soil materials during scientific research.
6. To monitor and control the use of soil resources in the national economy, to organize procedures for state control and evaluation of land used in the agro-industrial complex, to determine the possibilities of introducing modern soil protection technologies in the intensification of agricultural production, to draw up schemes for the optimal use of soil resources using modern planning and forecasting methods.
7. Plan and forecast the use of land resources that ensure the continuous reproduction of soil fertility, analyze the rate of use of means to increase soil productivity (mineral and organic fertilizers, chemical ameliorants, plant growth stimulators, etc.) and their importance for the country's economy.
8. To assess the ecological state of soils, choosing from the general flow of information the key points that allow predicting further changes in the fertility and productivity of the soil and vegetation cover, to develop measures for their protection and rational use.
9. Develop comprehensive schemes for the rational use of irrigated soils, draw up balances of water consumption and sanitation, and use modern irrigation methods on irrigated land.
10. Develop standard environmental protection measures, including the cleaning of polluted land, the restoration of urbanized and man-made landscapes, the development of saline and alkaline soils (saline and saline).
11. Justify the strategies of land reclamation, protection and rational use of soil resources in the national economy (agriculture, forestry, water, etc.), using the methods of desk, cartographic, field, remote, laboratory, stationary and other studies;
12. Freely interpret and creatively use scientific, historical and philosophical knowledge to analyze Kazakhstan's model of development of science, society and economy; use modern pedagogical technologies and approaches in conducting classes and educational activities; apply psychological knowledge to make effective decisions, implement successful communication strategies in personal life and professional activities.
